Menu Planning for Events

Plan catering events: Portion scaling, orders, cost control for multiple events simultaneously.

Step 1Create Event

Go to 'Menu Planning' and create a new event. Enter date, number of guests and event type (wedding, corporate event, banquet, etc.). You can also plan multiple events in parallel while keeping track of all orders and costs.

Step 2Compose Menu

Select recipes from your database for starter, main course, dessert and side dishes. You can create multiple menu variants (e.g. vegetarian, vegan, with meat) and set the guest count per variant. All quantities are calculated automatically.

Step 3Generate Order List

EasyKoch automatically creates a consolidated shopping list across all recipes and menu variants. Same ingredients are combined. You can immediately see what quantities you need to order and can forward the list directly as an order to your suppliers.

Step 4Maintain Cost Control

See the total costs of your event in real time: food costs per guest, total food costs, markup and margin. Adjust recipes or guest numbers and the calculation updates instantly. This keeps you always within budget.

Step 5Perform Post-Calculation

After the event, compare planned versus actual costs. Document variances (e.g. more guests, special requests, shrinkage) and learn from them for future events. Post-calculation helps you make your quotes increasingly precise.
